OUR REVIEW 

With an emphasis on the use of "ecologically friendly" materials, these airy and bright villas provide a sense of space for enjoyment of sea views. Your villa and pool are of a minimalist design that leaves the horizon unfettered - this is Alma's Villas. Guests have almost unanimously praised Alma's, though some of the ecological materials used in the design do seem a little faded.

The modern style neighbouring eco-villas, present the setting for the enjoyment of bright light, blue skies, beautiful sunrises and amazing sunsets.

Majestic views out to sea, a landscape of Crete's coast and rocky hillsides, tinted with flowers, herbs and more. 10 minutes drive from Chania airport, 5 minutes drive from the small Agios Onoufrios beach and its local taverna, 15 minutes from a coffee sipped while gazing at Chania's Venetian waterfront. In fact, the closeness to Chania itself makes this a rare combination of the pleasures of the villa life, with the numerous restaurants, cafes, museums bars and shops of Venetian Chania.

Beaches at Stavros, Marathi and others are fabled and close by.

An organic garden has been  planted between the villas. You will be welcome to eat food prepared with these ingredients, learn about cuisine, natural tastes, health and the exceptionally rewarding, delicious and wholesome Cretan cuisine.

While each villa has its own freshwater pool (7x5m), a larger pool (10x8m) is available to all guests. A pool-side bar/cafe is stocked with soft drinks, ice-creams and some drinks - they are complimentary, for guests to enjoy.

Some exercise/work-out equipment is available for your use.

THE VILLAS

There are three types of villas available (all with private pool): 

Villa with 1+1 bedrooms (up to 6 people): On two levels. The double bedroom and the living room are on the ground floor; both have sea views. The second bedroom with twin beds, is downstairs, faces the back lower level large terrace and has a garden view. (This second large bedroom is suitable for a family's children, who can play also out in the "contained" terrace).

Villa with 2 bedrooms (up to 4 people): One one level. One double and one twin bedroom. Both bedrooms, as well as the living room are on the ground floor and have a sea views.

Villa with 3 bedrooms (up to 7 people): One one level. One double and two twin bedrooms. All three bedrooms, as well as the living room are on the ground floor and have a sea views.

Each villa has 2 bathrooms: a bathroom en-suite with the double bedroom, with Jacuzzi tub, and a second bathroom, with a shower (accessible from the corridor). In the 3-bedroom villa, both bathrooms are accessed from the corridor.

There is a washing machine in one of the bathrooms.

All villas have air conditioning (cooling/heating), TV, mini-stereo with CD player, fully equipped kitchens with cooker, microwave oven, fridge, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, utensils & cutlery.
The pools are freshwater, cleaned by electrolysis (not chlorinated).

DISTANCES
Closest beach & taverna (downhill/uphill) = 1 km (5 min drive): Agios Onoufrios sandy beach.
2.5 km inland to Kounoupidiana village (shops/super-markets, tavernas).
4 km to Kalathas sandy beach (with 1-2 tavernas).
6 km to Tersanas sandy beach (with 1-2 tavernas).
8 km to Stavros sandy beach (with tavernas/shops).
8 km to Chania town (with everything!).
10 km from Chania airport.
We recommend that you rent a car, other means of transport are limited and/or infrequent (you cannot reach Alma's Villas by public transport).

RATES 2007/2008 (rates include our Superb, All-questions-answered Personal service)

Rates are per villa, per night and include air conditioning and all taxes.

MINIMUM STAY: 3-5 nights, depending on season.
* Special rates for winter (November to March), for staying one or more months:
1+1 bedroom villa: 1200 euros/month, 2-bedroom villa: 1500 euros/month,
3-bedroom villa: 1800 euros/month.
