OUR REVIEW

When you drive past Elounda along the calmer and quieter coast, past a few small beaches and then turn inland along a winding driveway, you see only olive trees, carob trees and fertile soil. Arriving at Carob Tree is something of a refreshing surprise, a private estate. Each villa is painted a slightly different light colour and from each you look out to olive trees, your pool, your balcony, your al fresco dining area and you know that in a few minutes you can walk down to the sea (or drive in less than 1 minute!).

Attractive combinations of bright white & pastel colours inside each modern well-fitted easy-to-stay-in high quality villa. Beyond the edge of Elounda, quiet and secluded yet within a short reach of that luxury enclave's hotels, the village restaurants (and those at the small seafront at Plaka) or the cafes and tavernas, boat trips to Spinalonga and shops at Elounda village. It takes just 20 minutes to make the pleasant drive to Agios Nikolaos - where choices are unlimited for shopping, dining and entertainment.

Lush sofas, fireplaces, lacquer-painted wood tables and excellent kitchens, fireplaces and spare but well chosen ornaments, create a cool Mediterranean villa atmosphere - an entry to comfort and relaxation, a retreat from hassle and bustle.
Ample closet space, functional and gorgeous marble bathrooms with chessboard-tiled floors, rain showers and large mirrors.

The splash of colour mixed with pure white finishes and furniture is smart and luxurious.
Wood floors inside and wood pool surrounds maintain comfort in the midst of nature.
The pools are of enough size and shape (rectangular) to swim a few laps or just to lapse into a relaxed state, floating looking at the sky & the surroundings.

When life at the villa makes you feel "I can just manage to prise myself away from the pool and go out today" there is Havania beach nearby, with beach umbrellas and drinks served as you sunbathe. A little further, it may be fish at Plaka village five minutes away, on the waterfront. One day or another, you may drive into Agios Nikolaos and eat, shop, sightsee. Another time, a meal (make a reservation) at Elounda Gulf Suites' remarkably good restaurant or another treat in dining at one of the Elounda hotels. Agios Nikolaos is a likely candidate for its cafes, shops and restaurants.

THE VILLAS

The villas are set in a private estate, about 20 metres from each other, with greenery fencing for separation & privacy. Each villa is on two levels, has a spacious living room with working fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, barbecue area and private swimming pool (size:3X7m, depth:1.4m).
Two-Bedroom Villas: (85 m², up to 4 people)
Ground floor: Living room, kitchen, dining area. 1 bathroom/WC with hydro-massage shower.
First floor: 1 Double & 1 Twin bedroom on the first floor. 1 bathroom/WC with jacuzzi bathtub.
Three-Bedroom Villas: (152 m², up to 6 people)
Ground floor: Living room, kitchen, dining area. 1 WC. 1 Twin bedroom with en suite bathroom/WC with jacuzzi bathtub.
First floor: 1 Master bedroom with king-size bed and 1 Twin bedroom, both with en suite bathrooms with jacuzzi bathtub.

FEATURES IN ALL VILLAS

Air conditioning (heating/cooling), satellite TV, HiFi, DVD player, CD player, Telephone, high speed internet access (ADSL, use is free of charge), safe box. Fine bed linen and non-allergenic pillows. Hairdryers. Washing machine, iron & ironing board.
In the kitchen: Four ring cooker with oven, microwave oven, full-size fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, fruit squeezer.
