Komis Studios - Keratokambos
OUR REVIEW The Komis
building is across the narrow and little-trafficked road from the
pebble and sand beach.
The place has style, warmth, space and you feel special for staying there.
Komis Studios is the best of Keratokambos. I have to say our trip to Greece could not have gone better.
The time spent in Crete was the highlight of it i would say. We found
Komis Studios to be a real gem, a place we would like to return to. We
swam upon arrival and would have liked to again but the sea was too
rough the next 2 days. Our hosts were excellent, friendly and helpful,
yet unobtrusive. When a power outage knocked out the coffee maker the
first morning, Greek coffee was prepared on the stove. What a treat for
a coffee lover. Anyone seeking a secluded well run retreat would not go
wrong here.
Thankyou for your service. We had a memorable and excellent time
celebrating our 30th anniversary.
John Quanrud My husband (Pete), my brother & I all enjoyed our Crete holiday very much. We liked both Komis Studios (lovely building & garden & excellent breakfasts & good view from balcony). Pete & I have been to Crete 6 times between 1993 & 2002. We enjoy snorkeling. We tried a couple of beaches near Keratokambos but the best for snorkeling was just at the front near a a small rocky fishing(?) pier. Copyright CreteTravel.com - protected One person stood fishing there all day without catching any, I'm pleased to say. The beach there is mostly too sandy to be good for snorkeling but lovely for swimming. We liked the two Tavernas in Keratokambos, so ate in both 3 times. Everyone in Keratokambos was very friendly. Thanks for making the booking of our lovely holiday so quick & easy. Thanks again for your help & we will look at your site again when we plan our next trip to Crete or the mainland.Susan Baker For the final 3 days we hired a car from Sfakia & headed for Keratokambos - what an adventure! Needless to say after passing Knossos we took a wrong turning & eventually made our way south ending up at Pirgos & from there cut across eastwards to where we were supposed to be! It took hours, but on arrival we had a beer on the house & a friendly reception. Our room at Komis studios was delightful & roomy, quite a lovely place to stay, which we again enjoyed. However, I wouldn't want to drive up & down those hills to often, just in & out was sufficient! Stuart Jupp Excellent Komis, very nice rooms, good breakfast, very nice place. Massimo Cristaldi We loved Komis Studios. Beautiful little inn with lovely rooms. Our one issue there was that the beds were about the hardest we have ever slept on. That was a bit tough, since while we were there we were recovering from our jet lag....Next time we would love to stay there when the restaurant is open as well. We enjoyed the town very much, spending most of our time sitting at the taverna reading and eating and drinking. Quite restful.
