Pandora Suites, Chania - review, photos & reservations

For one of those perfect views of Chania's Venetian harbour - take a room with a view or wander up to the rooftop terrace with panoramic view of Chania!

The "pensione" experience...Pandora Suites is a small straightforward hotel, with sizeable rooms, attractive courtyard, wonderful views of Chania from some rooms, roof terrace (and just the thought of breakfast with that view is enough). The rooms are spacious, basic in decor but good, functional and so very well located. Three of them have a view of their own to the Venetian Harbour.

From Pandora Suites you look from an elevated level to the very Venetian buildings and the lighthouse that marks Chania's harbour entrance, a perfect sight for your stay and to enjoy your breakfast gazing down upon from the roof terrace.

Chania's narrow shopping streets, one-after-another surprises of cafes in old stone clad or new hi-tech style beckon with the best of coffees, the restaurants and tavernas - the rewarding ones are concealed until you walk the town's narrow streets, and then all the best tastes are revealed to you!

THE ROOMS
All rooms have air conditioning and heating. Hairdryers available from the reception. Some rooms take up to 4 people (these have courtyard views).
Double or twin beds, some have bedroom in the gallery (upstairs) and sitting area downstairs.
4 rooms have sea/harbour views (2 of these have also a balcony), the rest have town and courtyard views.
There is no elevator, so if you are concerned about the staircase, please let us know so we see if a ground floor room is available.

DISTANCES
Chania airport - 10 km, Rethymno - 59 km, Heraklion town & airport - 130 km.
Closest (small) beach - 500 m. Better beaches at 4 km.

Pandora Suites in Chania was a "sweet" hotel with an excellent location- and even the room at the first floor fitted us perfectly, because we were loaded with much too much luggage of course. Also the heat wave was starting, so the room was a little "cooler" than the rooms at the front must have been. The service was also very good.

The trip was excellent. We loved all the accommodations even though they were all very different. My only feedback which you might pass on was that our room at Pandora Suites was off the courtyard which was brightly lit all night. This made our room very bright and a bit hard for me to sleep. Besides that we loved the hotel.

It is very well positioned, with fantastic views from the roof.
The staff were very pleasant when around, however they were not easily accessible. In one sense this did give us the feeling of being in our own home, but if I we had any questions, there was no one to ask, as they were never, apart form our arrival, at the desk.
I have to comment on the bed linen, as I have never experienced such rough sheets and the acryllic blankets - I could not touch ( and I do not have particularly sensitive hands). The bath towels I would have used to dry our dogs, and have never experienced such poor quality.

We had a great time in Chania which was even prettier than we expected and Pandora Suites was a beautiful place to stay. It was the perfect holiday for us. We love Greece and have spent many holidays there. We were also very pleased with the service you provided. Everything went smoothly and as you had already informed them of our time of arrival, we were allowed to book in a lot earlier than the official booking-in time.

I have to say that all the arrangements you made for us worked out perfectly, and without even a hint of any problems. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chania, and found he accommodation to be wonderful - especially as we were upgraded to a larger suite at Pandora for no extra charge.
The staff were most obliging and the two days were most enjoyable, particularly the walk in the Gorge!!! The car hire worked out perfectly and we had fantastic journeys thought he countryside of Crete it was also excellent value for money.
All in all, everything that we had requested from yourselves was delivered and we will not hesitate to recommend your service to any of our friends who wish o visit Crete in the future.
