OUR REVIEW

Agios Nikolaos and the area close at hand appeals to many people, offering a variety of shops and restaurants in town and scenic or archaeological splendor close by. These villas combine the best of two, perhaps three or more worlds! Sea-front with a step ladder for you to climb in and swim, also your own pool, lush luxurious and original - surprising touch: walk-through bathroom from poolside to master bedroom.

Your Thalassa Villa is part of the St Nicolas Bay Hotel bouquet of hospitality, so whenever you like you can walk (3 minutes away) to the hotel , enjoy its restaurants, cafes, spa, large pool, enjoy all the facilities.
 

Thalassa Villas - there are only 6 - are exclusive. A master bedroom with exotic walk through shower region, and two (or three) other bedrooms with another bathroom they share. One of the bedrooms  - a single room has a view from a small window above a writing table where perhaps a budding writer or reticent teen could, while gazing across the pool to sea, write in a secret diary or to an awkward love.

The villas have a most functional kitchen with all the equipment you could wish for, a room for your suitcases and for extra general closet space, keeping your villa spacious and uncluttered.

Satellite TV, CD player for a waft of Opera, or the Frank Sinatra song or upbeat moment of the Fania Allstars before you mix a drink for poolside, sun-setting enjoyment.

You can stay here, just...stay! Perhaps one day a change is in order. Walk into the town - Agios Nikolaos the centre - is just 10-15 minutes stroll along the water/sea and dine at "Migomis" above it all, with a little (Crete never really is) formality, looking down to the lake, the harbour and the islet at its mouth, or just have a coffee to prepare for a meander around the shops (some good things to buy here). If you have dined - if you wined and dined - take a taxi (take it easy) back to the villa. Give the children a video to watch or perhaps they'll join you for story of the day, by the pool as one of you kindles a rich full-bodied cigar and lets a brandy warm the palate while the pool reflects and the sound of the sea soothes and the night sky reminds you this is good.

THE VILLAS

The (4) Three-bedroom villas have:
1 master bedroom with en-suite marble bathroom with jacuzzi tub and separate shower.
1 Twin bedroom and 1 Single bedroom, sharing one bathroom with shower.
They take up to 5 adults and 1 or 2 babies (in baby-cots).

The (1) Three-bedroom SPA villa "Anemos" has:
1 master bedroom with en-suite marble bathroom with jacuzzi tub and separate shower.
1 Twin bedroom and 1 Single bedroom (this can take an extra bed), sharing one bathroom with shower.
Plus, gym room, hammam (steam bath) and semi-open Air-Massage cabin for spa treatments. "Anemos Summer Lounge", carved in the rock with built-in barbecue, outdoor mini kitchen facilities and dining area - with spectacular sea views.
It takes up to 5 adults and 1 or 2 babies (in baby-cots).
 

The (1) Four-bedroom villa "Olives House" has:
1 master bedroom with en-suite marble bathroom with jacuzzi tub and separate shower.
1 Twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower.
1 Twin bedroom and 1 Single bedroom, sharing one bathroom with shower.
It takes up to 7 adults and 1 or 2 babies (in baby-cots).

IN ALL VILLAS
Private seawater swimming pool with hydro-massage, large private terraces, barbecue, sun beds, shaded patio area.
Individually controlled central air conditioning in all rooms and bedrooms.
Satellite 22" flat screen TV, DVD player. Direct dial telephone, dial-up email & internet access. Fully equipped kitchen open to the dining room, oven with four hotplates, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, filter coffee machine, fully stocked with plates, cups, glasses, cutlery and all utensils.
Iron and ironing board, clothes washing machine. Safe.
Hairdryers, bathrobes & slippers, bath and beach towels, maid service (6 mornings/week).

Round the clock security entrance to the villas and car parking.
Use of St Nicolas Bay Hotel gym facilities (without charge).
Use of all restaurants/bars and Children's supervised Mini-club at St Nicolas Bay.
Water-sports, scuba diving, internet cafe, Spa & Wellness centre are also available at St Nicolas Bay.
On request, at extra charge: business facilities (laptop, fax, printer), room service lunch or dinner, chef at your villa, baby-sitting, diving lessons, spa treatments, delivery of daily newspapers.

Rates are per villa, per night. They include breakfast, air conditioning and all taxes.

Breakfast is American buffet breakfast, at the St Nicolas Bay Hotel nearby - or served at your villa.
Baby cot (children up to 2 years): free.
Less than 4 people in villa: 10% price reduction in all periods, except for 17 June to 8 September.
MINIMUM STAY: 5-7 nights, depending on season.
