OUR REVIEW

Agios Myronas is so close to Heraklion in distance and travel time, yet it is far away in mood. A relaxed pace and open countryside surroundings. Cresting a hillock just beyond the village with sweeping views of the necklace of villages nearby, is Vergis Epavlis (Vergis Mansion), a dream made true. Luxury decor, paintings and plush antique furniture on the edge of a truly traditional Cretan Village. The owners' home and your home to visit.

One of these four luxury suites, lavish, with grand design themes and furnishings can be the "emperor's base" for your stay in this part of Crete. Or perhaps when you need easy access to Heraklion and its airport for a few days, yet want to continue breathing in the relaxing air and soothing your work-tired eyes with nourishing green countryside and your palate with delicious local food.
The swimming pool is large and the views soothing.

The "Stella Art" restaurant at this suite retreat makes using your separate kitchen (which is fully equipped) optional. You can walk across to the village itself in 8 minutes or drive there in 2 minutes. Agios Myronas has two places to eat (one of them also owned by the Vergis family) and a kafeneio with a splendid view from its outdoor seating area.
Heraklion is a 25 minute drive.

Perhaps a place to stay on arrival or before leaving Crete, for a few days - close enough to the airport (about 30 minutes) so that you can travel home with your rejuvenated and relaxed new self still intact!

ALL SUITES
Suites have one bedroom, are ideal for 2 people and can take up to 4 people (except "Eros" that is for 2 people max).

Large balcony or terrace. Air conditioning & central heating (individually controlled), fireplace.
Stereo CD-player, plasma 20" satellite TV, direct dial phone, writing desk, laptop computer & internet access, safe deposit box, mini-bar. Bathrobes & slippers, jacuzzi bathtub, quality mattresses, pillows and bed sheets, spacious wardrobes. Fully equipped kitchen with full-size fridge, cooker, microwave, kettle.
Linen and towels are changed every day.

SERVICES

Outdoor heated swimming pool (12.5X5.5 m) with jacuzzi and children's area. Gardens. Private parking.
Erato snack bar, by the pool - where you have your breakfast or light lunch and snacks.
Stella Art Gallery & Restaurant, for dinner, on request (the restaurant is open on many weekends, but in general it is open for periods when there are many guests staying). With spectacular valley views, all the way to the sea. Mediterranean cuisine menu.
Ethimiko taverna. In the Agios Myronas village, owned by the Vergis family. With traditional Cretan cuisine and using local farm products. 2 km by car, 200 m on foot.
Seasons& Senses wellness spa. Treatments, massage, hair & skin care, jacuzzi and steam bath.
Archangel Michael chapel, where you can light a candle and enjoy the peace, or have your wedding!

We recommend that you rent a car, other means of transport are limited and/or infrequent.

We have never encountered such a mix of elegance, class, luxury, taste and comfort together with genuine warmth, friendliness and caring as we were lucky enough to find at your place. It was an experience we shall both never forget.
A spectacular setting, with view across the broad valley and down toward Iraklion with the Cretan Sea beyond. Fabulous Cretan food, served with a personal touch in the restaurant. A Spa that gave my wife the best massage of her life and your lovely little chapel on the hill. If i haven't mentioned something, its not that it wasn't appreciated, there were so many that we were dazzled.

First, we had a great time and you were a big part of that.
Vergis was beautiful setting and nicest pool I've ever been in. It turned out to be a great spot as we had done some hard travelling and were ready for a nice room and even had food delivered the first night.

The village is beautiful, and all in all, a very relaxing spot, as you advertised. We found the decor a bit overdone, but it was easy to ignore that and enjoy the place.
