OUR REVIEW

The villa on the hill. Villa Kalliani has one of the perfect hilltop locations in Crete, this is a real 360 degree view (the photo gallery includes a photo of the panoramic views). Terraces, balconies and poolside all have views of the magnificent Kissamos bay, its sparkling sea and the inland hills.
Privacy is prime. The villa stands proudly on its own, just one kilometre from the village Herethiana - which has a couple of local cafes, kafeneia.
Isolated in location but not in travel times. It is ten minutes to the nearest beach or Kissamos and 45 minutes from Chania.
When it is windy (this is a hilltop after all) one or more of the balconies or terraces is shielded from the wind.

There are three bedrooms, one downstairs and two upstairs. An attractive living area with leather sofas, fireplace, dining table and a fully equipped modern kitchen. All rooms are air conditioned. Decor has splashes of stone and wood - a pleasing blend of modern/classic and traditional.
For up to six people the villa is very comfortable and provides you with your own piece of the countryside.

So you can be the king of the hill, take a swim in your pool with a view, cruise around the small villages nearby, eat one evening on the waterfront at Kissamos, the next in Chania.

VILLA LAYOUT & COMFORTS

Ground floor:

Living room - two 2-seat leather sofas, armchairs, coffee table, fireplace, satellite TV, stereo with CD player, PlayStation. Dining table for 6 people.

Kitchen (off the living area) - electric stove with oven and hotplates, full-size fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine and kettle, toaster, blender, breakfast counter.

Bedroom - with twin beds, dresser, balcony with table & chairs with sea view.

Bathroom - with shower, WC.

Internal staircase leading upstairs.

First floor:

Bedroom 1 - with double iron bed, dresser, TV & DVD player, en-suite bathroom with two sinks & jacuzzi bathtub, WC, washing machine, balcony with table & chairs with sea view.

Bedroom 2 - with twin beds, dresser, two windows with sea view.

There is also a large veranda on the first floor (accessed from the corridor) with bamboo chairs & table, with sea, village and mountain views.

Courtyard:

Garden, barbecue, swimming pool (5X10m), sunbeds & umbrellas.

Parking inside gates.

Service:

Clean sheets and towels are left to you for changing twice a week but all is left for you, without anyone coming in to clean so as not to disturb you - the owner has found that guests prefer this! The pool has a continuing self-cleaning mechanism, in addition a person comes and cleans the pool bottom once every week. The pool has little reason to need extra cleaning as it is not overlooked by trees and plants shedding leaves.

DISTANCES
1 km from the village, 6 km from Kissamos town, 40 km from Chania, 52 km from Chania airport.

Nearest beaches: 3 km - Kissamos bay (also nearest super market & restaurants), 4 km - Nopigia, 16 km - Kolymbari, 15 km - spectacular Falassarna or Balos (Gramvousa) beaches, 40 km - Elafonisi.
We recommend that you rent a car, other means of transport are limited and/or infrequent (you cannot reach Villa Kalliani by public transport).
